A fantastically aggressive synth masterwork that skillfully combines elements of dark-synth, 80's retro and outrun. A flagship cyberpunk album to make you stop and take notice if there ever was one.
Favorite track: Marauder's Theme.
VH strains against his boundaries with a stab at vigilantism-themed synth. Stuff like "High Octane" and "Pathfinder" are textbook VH outrun, undercutting the tension set up in the intro, but the artist also branches into some pretty cool funk tracks like "Calibrated" and the danceable "Skyline". "Marauder" is another neat outlier with its stealthy feel. "Drifting" is my fave, outrun with some wicked guitar work that explodes into a shredding finish. Tonally inconsistent but a rockin' fun listen.
Favorite track: Drifting.
I'm new to modern synthwave and outrun, but I know the style. My favorite shelf at the video store was the sci-fi and horror section. This album speaks to something deep in my soul, the part that's pastel plastic sunset light, with interesting things going on below the city's margins. Great stuff, can't wait for more.
Favorite track: Avernus Dorsa.
Very high energy tracks for the most part and has a very distinct aesthetic, think Nightcrawler with Jake Gyllenhaal. Fantastic album, if you like something like "Drifting" or "High Heat", you're going to love some of his older stuff. Very good synthwave/outrun artist.
Favorite track: High Octane.

This album (and Perturbator's music in general) got me through my IT certification exams -best music if you need to convince your brain you're *actually* a badass hacker in a cyberpunk movie montage and not a tired dev-in-training xD EldritchKitty

When I was a rogue cop in the 80s who recently lost my badge and gun trying to avenge my wife. She was killed by The Cartel/Mob/Yakuza/etc... Driving out to the beach to watch the sunrise from a long muggy summer night of drinking and justice. This was the soundtrack to my life. Another classic album. dzestmen
